Hacker Challenge Winner: Add Cable Spool Adapter and Bluetooth Headset

this week Hacker Challenge, we asked you to break headphones.
We received great entries, but winning is a reader Hack Balders2.
Check description Balders2 winning entry below, and read some of our other favorite entries.
Winner: Add cable spool adapter and Bluetooth headset Reader Balders2 gives us a three-in-one hack this week( see lead picture ).
Its a cheap knock-off pair of Beats headphones broke on the hinge.
Rather than give up, he looked around the plastic thing(that is TSA friendly) to fix them.
He settled on plastic spoons, two tablespoons of taping by each hinge one up, one down.
He also realized that he could use the bucket to the headphone cable reel, so he left them sticking out.
Not satisfied with just fixing hinges and have built a new cable reel also Balders2 binder clip recorded phone so that he could join his clipable Bluetooth adapter.
Ok, so its not the prettiest break.
But providing cheap, broken headphones and adding built-in cable and wireless microphone reel deserves praise.
How do I do this nicely? Let us know in the comments.
Awards We have a lot of great work and we would be remiss if I did not share with our favorites.
Here are some of the entries that really impressed us.
Turn your headphone cable with built-in detachable version Midillili Sinan began with a set of Sennheiser HD595 headphones.
Dissatisfied with the cable that came with the headphones, Sinan decided to conduct a little DIY magic.
He replaced the cable with a built-in port, which allows him to use a detachable cable.
We could see this little hack, is very useful.
You can easily switch between cables of different lengths, depending on what you are doing, or just better connect the cable that came with the headphones.
It would also facilitate the exchange of cable when it gets damaged-handy, because the cable is usually the most sensitive part of the handset.
Double-charge wireless headphones John Morales began Logitech G930 wireless headset.
Micro USB charging port broke, preventing the battery from charging.
John took him away, thinking that he could resolder the port, but it was mounted and had a lot of soldering experience.
Instead, John bought a DC power jack and a cell phone charger.
With a little imagination routing of lines, he was able to fix the charger, as well as add a second battery in parallel, thus doubling the battery life of the headset.
The only downside is that now he has to keep the charger(and, of course, the colors are not identical).
Make a wireless headset with a clip and some velcro Reader t0wer began SRH-840 headphones.
T0wer cut the card to fit into the headphones, clip attached with Velcro, and then connect it with 4 "cable.
Super simple and effective! Turn Into Your Earbuds mutual Microphones Reader Dracogt turned a pair of headphones for binaural microphones, so that it can record sound holophonic.
You can read a full description of how to do it on Instructables.
According to In his own words: They work fantastic and the illusion is very sweet to hear.
super easy to make, as well, and basically just replaced the speakers with microphones.
Many thanks to all who took the time to send us the details! sure to check back every week for a new challenge.
