Bluetooth Speaker: Get the Benefits of a Wireless Connection

These days there are a range of choices available for the speakers used with both mobile and home based devices. In days gone by the typical method of using speakers was through a wired connection, although there are now a few options for wireless connections. Bluetooth technology is one of these and this can be used to connect a range of devices through wireless means.
Bluetooth technology was developed in the early 1990's and is an open technology standard for connecting together electrical devices by wireless means. This can include mobile phones, laptops, mp3 players, speakers and microphones. Many of these are manufactured such that they are Bluetooth enabled. Typically the technology is suitable for a range of around 30 feet although as Bluetooth has developed wireless connections of up to 100 feet have become available.
There are a number of advantages to using Bluetooth wireless technology. Removing the need for wired connection can provide an easier and tidier method of connecting devices. This can be especially true of computers where there can be a requirement to connect a number of accessories. Wired connections can become a tangled, unsightly mess and using wireless connections can be a better option.
If you want to use wireless speakers with your portable and fixed electrical devices then there are a number of manufacturers that produce Bluetooth speaker models. Some of these include Altec Lansing, Sony Ericcson, Motorola and LG. The speakers are typically small and portable in nature and can be used for fixed devices in the home. However they can also be carried and used with portable devices.
The cost of Bluetooth speakers is generally not too expensive and this makes them an accessible device to own. At the more affordable end of the market basic speakers that are Bluetooth enabled can be purchased for around $20 to $30. However if you are looking for a higher quality speaker system which can provide a Bluetooth wireless connection the cost for these can increase to $100 and greater.
There are a number of applications where Bluetooth wireless speakers can be a good option. Using a mobile phone in a car is one of these. This can be dangerous and is against the law in many states. However a car kit that incorporates Bluetooth car speakers can enable a mobile phone to be used without taking your hands off the steering wheel. The speaker is typically clipped to the visor in the car and by lowering this you can easily have a phone conversation while driving.
Using Bluetooth wireless speakers in the home with fixed devices such as computers or stereos can have advantages. With no wires to worry about it is simple to move the speakers around to a location that provides the best sound. If the range can accommodate it, you can move the speakers to another room without moving the device they connect to allow you to better listen as you move around.
Many of the Bluetooth wireless speakers are designed to be small and portable. This means they are ideal as travel speakers and can be used with PDA's, mp3 players and mobile phones. They can provide better sound quality than the speakers on the device itself and the wireless connection means they can be easily and quickly set up wherever required.
