Top Three Android Smartphones Launched in the Year 2013

The year 2013 has witnessed the release of several smartphones that run on the Android platform. Reputed handset makers such as Samsung, LG, HTC and Motorola have released their own flagship products that compete with each other to attract smartphone buyers. All these handsets make the best use of the latest software and hardware technologies available in the market, which is why it is difficult to determine a clear winner among them. Here are the top three Android smartphones that have released in 2013:
a. HTC One: HTC was one of the first handset makers to launch their flagship model, which is known as HTC One. It is probably one of the best looking smartphones in this category of top models, as it sports a metallic body and a simple hardware interface. The screen-size is 4.7 inch with a resolution of 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. One of the best features of this phone is that it comes with the highly acclaimed Beats audio system, which makes it the best choice for music lovers. On the other hand, HTC One uses its home-grown "ultra-pixel" technology for the primary camera. The device currently runs on Android Jellybean 4.2 version, which is scheduled to be upgraded to 4.3 in the near future.
b. Samsung Galaxy S4: Galaxy S4 or GT-I9500 is arguably the best Android smartphone for various reasons. The processor installed in the device clocks a maximum speed of 1.9 GHz and utilizes the quad-core technology. The size of its screen is 5 inches, which is well complemented by a superior screen resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. The back camera is of 13 Megapixels, which is probably the best in the Android ecosystem. However, on the downside, Galaxy S4 still uses a plastic chassis, which makes it look less elegant in front of devices like HTC One.
c. Google Nexus 5: Nexus 5, developed by LG and released in late 2013, is a power-packed phone that provides the best components available at this point of time. The best thing about the phone is that it is the only device that currently runs on the latest version of Android OS, Kit Kat 4.4. Additionally, the quad-core processor runs at a maximum speed of 2.26 GHz, which is better than most other phones in its competitive zone. The Nexus 5 battery use 2300 mAh cells, which is relatively lower than the superior battery of Samsung Galaxy S4 (2600 mAh).
